Clean, comfortable,
central, friendly

We use the kind of hotels preferred by the French themselves - usually small and family-run, and always friendly. In the towns, our hotels are centrally located. We don't like standardized, chain hotels.

What to expect in hotel accommodations

Clean, comfortable rooms, each with private bath or shower

Many hotels are in historic buildings of charm and character

In town, our hotels are centrally located - no suburban highrises

We also stay in peaceful, cozy country inns

Some have elevators, others do not

French hotel rooms can be smaller than American rooms

We don't use business-oriented, chain hotels

Most are 'tourist class' - neither budget nor deluxe
